Here’s what happened with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins after Friday’s (June 9) edition of SmackDown went off the air.

This week’s live episode emanated from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
With Rollins hailing from Davenport, Iowa, the Raw star paid a visit to his home state for a dark match, after the cameras stopped rolling.
Following the show, Rollins faced off against Damian Priest in singles action. Rollins ultimately picked up the victory in this notable rematch.
After the match, Rollins cut a heartfelt promo, telling Iowa that he proudly represents the state.

Rollins previously defended his World Heavyweight Title against Damian Priest on the June 5 edition of Raw.
This marked the first ever televised defence of this title, following its introduction and Rollins becoming the inaugural champion at Night of Champions 2023.
