WWE could potentially be considering a big change to a scheduled WrestleMania 40 match.

The penultimate edition of WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania saw the final two spots filled for the six-pack Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship ladder match.
New Catch Republic knocked off Angel & Berto of Legado Del Fantasma, while Austin Theory & Grayson Waller qualified at the expense of The Street Profits.

Both teams join Awesome Truth, #DIY, The New Day and The Judgment Day in the official field for the WrestleMania bout, but is there potential for a big change to be made before the two night event kicks off in less than a week’s time?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this very well could be the case, as Theory and Waller’s spots in the bout are seemingly not yet secure, despite qualifying on SmackDown.

Meltzer explained, revealing there will be an internal meeting to decide on the issue:
“By the way, even though Theory and Waller won, it is not necessarily that they’re going to be in that match.
“They might be, there is a meeting upcoming where they will make a decision on that.”

Meltzer did not elaborate any further on the reasoning behind Theory and Waller’s spots being potentially under threat.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on this situation as/when they become available.
