On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, the final opponent for Sting at AEW Revolution may have just been revealed to be a surprising choice.

After a tag team match featured Darby Allin and Sting taking on Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs included even some in-ring offense from Ric Flair, it had a dramatic conclusion.
The match ended on an enormous table spot where both Powerhouse Hobbs and Sting went through tables, with Sting able to drape his arm over Hobbs to get the pinfall victory.

After the match, Tony Schiavone popped in for an in-ring interview about his last match at Revolution in March.
Asking Sting who his opponent would be, instead of getting an answer to the question, the Young Bucks music hit.

Matt and Nick Jackson (plus their brand new thin mustaches) came out to the entrance ramp for a stare down with Darby Allin and Sting.
While nothing was confirmed (as the Young Bucks simply walked away) the implication for AEW Revolution seemed clear.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, a newly signed AEW star has revealed when they will make their in-ring debut since being signed with the company.
