Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution is fast approaching and the WWE Hall of Famer isn’t slowing down.

AEW Revolution takes place on March 3, with Sting and Darby Allin defending the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Match.
At AEW Dynamite Homecoming on January 10, Darby Allin & Sting defeated The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Powerhouse Hobbs).
During that match, Sting hit a scorpion deathdrop on Hobbs sending both men through tables and leading to the Icon picking up the win for his team.

Fightful Select gathered information about that particular spot, discovering that Sting was “insistent” on it happening, writing:
In asking around about the road to Sting’s retirement match, there were some backstage that had pushed for Darby Allin to take the bump at the end of the Daily’s Place tag team match instead of Sting, but Sting was insistent.

Obviously he’s been fine in the follow up.
Highlights from the match, in which Sting & Allin were victorious, can be seen below this news story.
It has previously been revealed that Sting has control over his retirement match, including the outcome.

Tony Khan has apparently been willing to give Sting “any match he wanted” for his retirement at AEW Revolution.
The February 28, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite will mark Sting’s final appearance on the Wednesday show.
