A new WWE match for Pat McAfee has potentially been revealed, amid speculation about McAfee’s in-ring future.
Despite no longer being a regular fixture on the WWE commentary team, McAfee still receives huge reactions when he does make sporadic WWE appearances.
McAfee’s next WWE opponent may have been revealed, with The Miz recently expressing interest in this potential singles match.
The Miz called out the popular star on the July 17 edition of Raw, calling McAfee the ‘most overpaid person in sports’.
This comes after McAfee stated that he’s interested in a match against McAfee while speaking with local media during his recent celebrity golf tournament.
McAfee most recently wrestled at WrestleMania 39 in April, notably defeating The Miz during a surprise appearance, in a matter of minutes.
This was the less-chaotic surprise Miz match of that weekend, with Shane McMahon suffering a torn quad during his surprise bout with the A-Lister on WrestleMania 39 Sunday, and Snoop Dogg pinning The Miz following his own variation of the Rock’s People’s Elbow.
The star’s most recent match advertised ahead of time saw him defeat Baron Corbin at SummerSlam 2022.
SummerSlam 2023 is just around the corner, set to emanate from the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 5.
