With WWE’s next premium live event set to be Survivor Series in Chicago, the rumours and speculation about a CM Punk return to the company are bound to get even more prevalent over the next two weeks.

WWE had been dropping heavy teases, whether intentional or not, to Punk on WWE television over the past few weeks, leading many to believe he could be on his way back.
The latest report on a potential Punk return was that it was said to ‘not be in play’, but that hasn’t stopped him being the talking point for a lot of discussion over the past few weeks.
WWE Hall of Famer and NXT announcer Booker T was asked about Punk on his Hall of Fame podcast, where he admitted that he wouldn’t put it past WWE to rehire him given the company’s history of doing so.

He said:
“I could see CM Punk wanting to find his way back into the WWE. I could see that. We’re talking about it right now. Also, I’m gonna go out on a limb here. I’m not gonna put it past WWE hiring him back. I don’t know, I can’t say. But I do know that just about everybody that’s left WWE has come back, no matter what problems they’ve had. Even The Ultimate Warrior, I don’t think anybody thought The Ultimate Warrior would come back.”

Another WWE announcer, Corey Graves, also said that he would be open to Punk returning to the company despite their previous issues in the past.
