Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville has provided an update on her injury recovery, opening up about her struggles.

Deville was forced to relinquish her Women’s Tag Team Title in August 2023 after suffering a torn ACL.
The WWE star has now taken to Instagram to share a video of a current day in her life away from the ring.
In the video, which you can watch below, Deville showed off a training session, revealing that she did a lot of jumping training on the day of filming.

Discussing her training, she said:
“Today we did a lot of jumping which I’m not going to lie, was pretty daunting at first because my ACL is still recovering and I don’t trust it that much. But once I did a couple of reps I got the hang of it and was getting a lot more confident.
“Actually, feeling pretty good about it. Then we did some agility footwork drills, which again were pretty awkward at first because my leg is not used to moving that fast. It felt pretty good once I got started.”

Deville last wrestled almost eight months ago on the July 28, 2023 edition of SmackDown, teaming with Chelsea Green in a losing effort against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair.
While Deville relinquished her gold following her injury, Chelsea Green remained champion, with Piper Niven replacing Deville as one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
