All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded show with the premiere of AEW Collision on June 17.

CM Punk made his long-awaited return, and he teamed up with FTR to face Samoa Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. Plus, Wardlow defended the TNT Championship against Luchasaurus, Andrade El Idolo battled Buddy Matthews, and Miro competed.
Elsewhere on the show, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm and Ruby Soho faced Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue.
The results are as follows:

In-Ring Segment: CM Punk
CM Punk comes out and gets a huge pop from his hometown crowd. The fans chant his name, and he soaks it in. Punk says he’s tired of being nice, and he missed ten months, but he’s still here. He says as long as he’s here, this is the professional wrestling business, it’s a business of grownups, and it has never been a popularity contest. Punk looks back on his past and says he rode the wave of smart, passionate fans to get where he is today. He says he has never fit in more than he does here, and he loves the fans. Punk says he has never compromised, he is unapologetic, and he is himself. He tells the fans he couldn’t have done it without them. Punk notes that some people hate him for the same reasons other love him. He says his mere presence makes some people uncomfortable, and he is the truth, which is painful.
Punk says fans can call him a hero, or they can love him or hate him, but they know he’s right. Punk says Warner Brothers Discovery CEO David Zaslav calls him one bill Phil, because he is the one genuine article in a business full of counterfeit bucks. Punk says the king is back. He asks the crowd why he would change, as he will always be himself, and he will never compromise. He says some people think they are owed an apology, and sometimes it’s better to be the bigger man. To those who feel they deserve an apology, Punk says he’s sorry the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like.
He brings out a bag and says the last time people saw him, he was holding what was in it. Punk says what’s in the bag belongs to him until someone can beat him for it. Punk holds up a pair of wrestling boots and notes plenty of people hoped it would retire, but until there’s someone who can fill his boots, they belong on his feet.

TNT Championship: Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus (with Christian Cage)
Wardlow and Luchasaurus square off and trade blows. The champion targets Christian Cage at ringside. Luchasaurus takes control and overpowers Wardlow. “Mr. Mayhem” slams Luchasaurus and gains some breathing room. He rallies and gains momentum with a flurry of offense. He slams Luchasaurus again. Luchasaurus fires back and goes for a chokeslam, but Wardlow fights out of it. They trade shots, and Wardlow levels Luchasaurus with a lariat. Wardlow has Luchasaurus in position for the Powerbomb Symphony. Cage distracts him, and Luchasaurus hits a chokeslam for a two count. Wardlow perseveres and hits a Swanton Bomb. Cage distracts him again, and he hits the champion with a camera. Luchasaurus then pins Wardlow to win the title.

Backstage, QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs are asked about their arrival on AEW Collision. Marshall says Hibbs will win the Owen Hart Tournament. Hobbs says his new chapter is about redemption, and he intends to take what’s his.

Buddy Matthews vs. Andrade El Idolo
Matthews and Andrade are evenly matched early on, and they go back and forth. Andrade hits a cartwheel moonsault off the apron. Matthews dumps Andrade over the barricade. Andrade sends Matthews into the timekeeper’s table with a hurricanrana, but El Idolo lands hard. Matthews shoves Andrade and sends him crashing into the barricade. Buddy hits a meteora. The medical team checks on both competitors. Matthews and Andrade keep battling during a commercial break. Buddy gains the upper hand. Andrade fires up and targets Buddy’s knee. Andrade hits a moonsault for a two count. Matthews spikes Andrade with a DDT. Buddy goes for a powerbomb, but his knee gives away. Andrade nails Matthews with a stiff strike. Matthews drops Andrade with a knee strike. Andrade locks in the Figure-Four and transitions to the Figure-Eight, forcing Matthews to tap out.
Winner: Andrade El Idolo
Andrade goes for a post-match handshake, but Matthews turns him down. The lights go out, and when they come back on, the House of Black is in the ring. Brody King levels Andrade with a lariat. Malakai Black says something to Andrade, but the cameras don’t pick it up.

A video package highlights Scorpio Sky. He cuts a promo and says he’s been waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Tony Nese is in the ring, and he says he can’t sit in the back when all he sees a crowd full of “disgusting trash.” He says he has decided to shut AEW Collision down, as they’re going to do group training. Nese starts doing some stretches, but Miro interrupts.
Miro vs. Tony Nese
Nese leaves the ring and does jumping jacks. Miro follows him and no-sells a chop. Miro overpowers Nese and repeatedly hits him in the corner. The former TNT Champion catches a diving Nese and tosses him across the ring. Nese gains momentum with some strikes. Miro floors him with an emphatic slam. He nails Nese with a stiff kick. Miro makes Nese tap out to the Game Over.
Winner: Miro

A video package hypes up CM Punk’s return to the ring.

Toni Storm & Ruby Soho vs. Willow Nightingale & Skye Blue
Storm and Soho attack Blue and Skye during their entrance and take control early on. Storm gets in Skye Blue’s mom’s face in the crowd, and she slaps the champion. Willow and Soho get in the ring, and the match officially begins. The Outcasts double-team Willow and isolate her. They continue to control the action. Blue makes the hot tag and takes control with a flurry of offense. Blue gets a two count with a crossbody on Storm. Willow drops Soho with a spinebuster. Willow tags in and slams Storm. Soho comes in and rocks her with a kick. Blue tags in and gets suplexes by Storm. The AEW Women’s World Champion hits a hip attack. Soho drills Blue with a shot to the face. Willow stops Storm from spraying Blue with spray-paint, and Toni accidentally sprays Soho. Blue pins Soho with the Code Blue.

In a promo, Ricky Starks announces that he is entering the Owen Hart Tournament.

In a promo, Jeff Jarrett announces that he will face Mark Briscoe in a Concessions Stand Brawl. He tells Mark, “I’m kicking your ass.”

In-Ring Segment: The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn
Gunn says he got a new scissoring outfit because it’s a special night. Bowens makes it clear they’re still targeting the AEW World Trios Championship. He says AEW stands for Acclaimed Every Wednesday and Acclaimed Every Weekend. Bowens says they want to scissor in the city that made The Acclaimed the people’s choice.

CM Punk & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Jay White, Juice Robinson & Samoa Joe
Dax Harwood and Jay White start the bout and feel each other out. They trade blows. Harwood drops White with a lariat. Juice Robinson tags in, as does Cash Wheeler. Wheeler chops Juice and drops him with a shoulder block. FTR takes control, and they double-team Robinson with Punk. Robinson escapes a GTS attempt. Samoa Joe tags in and squares off with Punk, his longtime rival. He drills Punk with some stiff chops. Punk takes Joe down and grounds him with a headlock. Punk tags in Harwood, who maintains the advantage. Joe and Harwood trade strikes. White tags in and takes the fight to Harwood.
Robinson drops Harwood with a stiff shot. Joe drills Harwood with a series of strikes in the corner. White and Robinson double-team Harwood. Dax rallies with a German suplex. Wheeler tags in and swings the momentum in his team’s favor. Punk enters the match and grounds Robinson. Wheeler gets slammed into the barricade. Joe and his partners isolate Wheeler. Joe tags in and overpowers Wheeler with a flurry of offense.
Wheeler slams Juice and tags Punk, who clears house. White rakes Punk’s eyes. Punk rocks White with a kick. Juice crotches Punk on the ropes. White slams Punk for a two count. FTR double-teams White, and Punk hits a diving elbow drop. Joe tags in and trades blows with Punk. The match breaks down into a brawl. Punk and Joe are left on their own. Punk drills Joe with a knee. Joe goes for the Coquina Clutch, and he takes Punk to the mat, but Harwood breaks it up. Juice tags in and gets kicked. FTR hits the Shatter Machine, and Punk hits the GTS for the win.
Winners: CM Punk and FTR
