WWE SmackDown 13th of October 2023

In-Ring Segment: John Cena
Cena welcomes the Tulsa crowd to the season premiere of SmackDown. Cena is immediately cut off by the entrance music of our Tribal Chief, WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. Reigns is flanked by Solo Sikoa and the Wiseman Paul Heyman. Cena and Reigns stare each other down as the crowd chants for Cena. Reigns tells Cena is he’s going to open his show, he better do it the right way. Reigns tells the crowd to acknowledge him. The crowd does, but a Cena chant breaks out immediately after. Reigns tells the crowd they are chanting for a coward. Reigns says Cena only came back because he took his leave. Cena convinced people to call him the G.O.A.T.
Reigns tells Cena to leave, or they will make him leave. Cena says he’s going to throw Reigns a curveball. He isn’t here to challenge Reigns, he’s here to acknowledge him. In Cena’s mind, Reigns’ 1100+ days as champion is the greatest feat in history. Cena isn’t here to challenge Reigns, because he hasn’t earned it… BUT he knows someone who has. LA Knight’s music hits. Knight stomps to the ring. Reigns looks very confused. Cena tells Knight its his time and hands him the mic. The crowd is going insane at the sight of Knight and Reigns in the ring.
Knight asks Reigns if he’s pissing his pants yet? Reigns laughs. Knight tells Reigns’ he’s a man standing in his way. Reigns looks amused. Reigns says he gave Knight a couple months and they say his name now. The crowd boos. Reigns says Knight doesn’t deserve to be in his ring. Knight tells Reigns that talking to him like that is a quick way to get referred to in the past tense. Jimmy Uso attacks Knight from behind. Reigns looks super confused. Knight dumps Jimmy over the top rope and gets in Reigns’ face. Heyman tells Reigns not to bite. Reigns rolls out of the ring. Reigns tells Sikoa to forget about Cena and handle Knight. Sikoa hops on the apron and tells Knight he wants him tonight. Knight accepts.

Pretty Deadly vs. The Brawling Brutes
Butch takes Prince down and stomps on his elbow. Prince dive tags in Wilson, who doesn’t seem to want to get in the ring. Ridge Holland runs him over. Butch adds in a basement dropkick. Wilson sends Butch into his corner. Butch dropkicks Prince off the apron.
Holland and Butch land stereo 10 beats of the bodhren on Wilson and Prince. After the break, Prince fakes an injury so Wilson can cheapshot Holland. Prince rolls up Wilson for the win.

Backtage, Zelina Vega gets into an argument with Bayley. Adam Pearce tells them to get to the ring. They can settle it there.
Zelina Vega vs. Bayley w/Damage CTRL
Vega lands a few strikes. Bayley picks Vega up. Vega escapes and sends Bayley into the corner. Hip toss by Vega. Vega tries a head scissors, but Bayley floors her with a clothesline. Vega kicks out. Bayley tres the Bayley-to-Belly. Vega turns it into a 619. Vega leaps over Dakota Kai, who tries to trip her on the apron. Meteora off the top by Vega. Iyo Sky gets on the apron. Vega knocks Sky off the apron with a 619. Bayley knees Vega in the face. Roseplant by Bayley. Bayley pins Vega.
Winner- Bayley
After the match, Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL beatdown Vega. Charlotte Flair hits the ring to make the save.

Adam Pearce is waiting for Triple H in the ring. Triple H says he is here to give props to one of the unsung heroes in WWE. Triple H puts over Pearce for doing a thankless job, but an incredible one. Pearce and Triple H shake hands. Triple H says this job isn’t one that should be done alone. He’s getting some help and a promotion. Triple H names Pearce the new General Manager of WWE Raw. Before Triple H can announce the General Manager of SmackDown, Dominik Mysterio’s music hit.
Dominik walks out and gets booed out of the building. Dominik complains about The Judgement Day loosing their tag titles. Triple H says he can’t hear Dominik and asks the crowd to keep it down. So, naturally the crowd gets louder. Dominik is upset that Triple H let Pearce book a tag title match tonight when The Judgement Day has a title shot Monday night. Triple H tells Dominik that he’s yelling at the wrong people. He should be speaking to the GM of SmackDown, Nick Aldis.
Aldis greats the crowd and says he’s happy to be here. Aldis tells Dominik that he’s a big fan of Dominik….’s father. The crowd laughs. Aldis says he’s going to cut to the chase. Cody Rhodes brokerd a deal where a Raw superstar will be traded to SmackDown. Dominik cuts in and says he doesn’t care who it is because he’ll slap them. Kevin Owens’ music hits. Owens stomps to the ring. Owens drops Dominik with a Stunner. Aldis and Owens shake hands.

WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match: Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller
Jey beats down both Waller and Theory. After a distraction from Waller, Theory sends Jey into the ring post. After the break, Theory and Waller are working over Jey. Jey manages to tag in Rhodes. Rhodes clears the ring. Rhodes and Jey hit the Cody-1D on Theory. Jey dives out of the ring and takes Waller out. Rhodes hits Crossroads on Theory for the win.
Winners and STILL Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes!
As Jey is walking up the ramp, Roman Reigns music hits. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa walk down the ramp and have a standoff with Rhodes and Jey. Reigns walks out with Heyman and immediately gets in Rhodes’ face. Rhodes and Reigns stare daggers through each other. GM Aldis and officials get inbetween them.

Solo Sikoa w/The Bloodline vs. LA Knight
Knight lands a few strikes. Sikoa slams Knight. Knight sends Sikoa over the top. diving dropkick by Knight. Knight slams Sikoa into the barricade. The fight spills to the apron. Knight sets up a suplex on the apron. Sikoa blocks it and sends Knight into the post. After the break, Knight tries to pick up Sikoa. Sikoa falls on top of Knight. Sikoa lands a nasty belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Knight rolls into the corner. Hip attack by Sikoa. Knight fires up and lands bulldog off the second rope. Sikoa kicks out.
Knight hits the ropes and runs right into a Samoan drop from Sikoa. Knight tries a sunset flip. Sikoa tries to sit on Knight, but he moves out of the way. Sikoa misses a splash in the corner. Knight doges another corner splash from Sikoa. Sikoa and Knight trade punches. Sikoa doesn’t go down. Diving clothesline by Knight. Knight DDTs Sikoa. Sikoa ends up in the corner. Knight stomps Sikoa, then lands a running knee.
LA Knight tries again, but Sikoa gets to his feet and blocks it. Knight surprises Sikoa with a front powerslam. LA Knight elbow by Knight. Sikoa blocks the BFT. Sikoa and Knight clothesline each other at the same time. Jimmy Uso hits the ring. Jimmy charges in and John Cena appears out of nowhere and hits him with an AA. Sikoa drops Cena with the Samoan Spike. Sikoa turns around and walks right into a BFT. Knight pins Sikoa.
Winner- LA Knight
After the match, Knight celebrates. Roman Reigns hits the ring and Spears Knight out of his boots.
