In-Ring Segment: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
Rhodes asks Edmonton what they want to talk about. The crowd cheers. Rhodes notes that he was victorious at Bash in Berlin, but he puts over Owens the same. Rhodes welcomes Michael Cole back to SmackSown, which gets another massive pop from the crowd. Before he can be interrupted, Rhodes invites The Bloodline to the ring now to get it over with. The Bloodline’s music hits, and Solo Sikoa and co make their way to the ring. Sikoa tells the rest of his crew to wait outside the ring. Sikoa asks Rhodes if he’s done running his mouth and playing around.
Sikoa wants to know if Rhodes is ready to defend the championship against a real challenger like him. Everyone knows Sikoa would be champion if it weren’t for Roman Reigns. The crowd chants that they want Roman. Rhodes puts over someone as the rightful challenger. Sikoa nods. Rhodes tells Sikoa he wasn’t talking to him; Rhodes was talking to Jacob Fatu. Rhodes tells Fatu to step up. As Fatu climbs up on the apron. Sikoa turns and looks at him. Fatu tells Sikoa he loves him. Sikoa is Fatu’s Tribal Chief. Fatu hops off the apron. Rhodes says it was worth a shot.
Rhodes tells Sikoa he’s got his shot next week on the season premiere of SmackDown on USA. Sikoa exclaims he sees what Rhodes is trying to do. Rhodes can’t drive a wedge between Sikoa and Fatu. Sikoa tells Rhodes they aren’t going to wait for next week. The rest of the Bloodline rushes the ring. The Street Profits and #DIY hop the barricade and stand with Rhodes. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis walks to the ring and announces he will fine and suspend anyone who gets physical. Aldis books the title match for next week, but it will be a steel cage match.
Bayley vs. Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton
Stratton and Bayley trade armbars and pin attempts. Bayley goes up top. Stratton plucks Bayley off the top while on the apron. Stratton sets up an Alabama slam, but Bayley rolls through. Basement dropkick by Stratton. After the break, Stratton works over Bayley’s injured arm. Bayley fires up and lands a thunderous big boot. Hip attack by Stratton. Bayley kicks out. The fight spills out of the ring. Stratton tries to send Bayley into the ring post. Bayley counters and slams Stratton’s head into the post.
Bayley suplexes Stratton off the apron. Stratton kicks out of Bayley’s diving elbow. WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax stomps to the ring. Stratton surprises Bayley with an Alabama slam. Bayley kicks out. Bayley-to-Belly by Bayley. Stratton kicks out. Bayley dives through the ropes and lands on Jax. Jax tries to get in the ring, but the referee cuts her off. Stratton rolls up Bayley, but the referee is still tied up with Jax. Bayley kicks out. After a series of reversals, Bayley drops Stratton with the Rose Plant for the win.
Winner- Bayley
Giovanni Vinci vs. Apollo Crews
Vinci takes forever, smiling and mugging for the crowd. The referee rings the bell while Vinvi is taking off his jacket. Crews rolls up Vinci for a quick win.
Winner- Apollo Crews
Triple Threat Match: Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller vs. Austin Theory
Owens sends both Waller and Theory over the top. Apron senton by Owens. Waller and Theory double team Owens. Waller pulls a table from under the ring. Owens sends Theory into the barricade. Owens powerbomb Waller through the table. After the break, Owens lands a flurry of offense. Waller breaks up Owens’ pin. Waller tries to steal a pin from Theory, but Owens kicks out. The theory takes exception to it, but they continue working together. Owens manages to hit the Stunner on Owens for the win.
Winner- Kevin Owens
After the match, Waller and Theory attack Owens.
In-Ring Segment: United States Championship LA Knight
Knight puts himself over for having two successful title defenses. Everyone wants a shot at Knight’s United States Championship. Carmelo Hayes interrupts and mocks Knight for crowing about two title defenses. Hayes says he is next in line for a title shot by default since he’s up on Andrade in their series.
Andrade interrupts and tells Hayes to take it easy. Andrade knows that Hayes beat him twice, but he’s beaten Hayes twice as well. Andrade wants a shot at the United States Championship. Knight says he doesn’t care about any of this, and they can fight it out. A brawl breaks out. Knight hits the BFT on Andrade. Hayes gets in Andrade’s face and yaps at him. Knight drops Hayes with a BFT.
Chelsea Green w/Piper Niven vs. Michin
Michin sends Green flying with a series of hip tosses. Green retreats to the corner. Michin clutches at her injured ribs, which are taped. Kitchen sink by Green. Green works over Michin’s ribs. Michin fires up and lands a cannonball. Niven causes a distraction. Green lands a head kick that knocks Michin off the apron. While the referee is caught up with Green, Niven crushes Michin with a senton. Green pins Michin after the Unprettiher.
Winner- Chelsea Green
Backstage, The Street Profits and #DIY agree to put their respective quest for a shot at the Bloodline’s tag titles aside. Tonight is about taking down The Bloodline as a team.
Eight-Man Tag Match: The Bloodline vs. The Street Profits and #DIY
As soon as the bell rings, an eight-way fight breaks out. The Street Profits and #DIY clear the ring. Dawkins and Loa start the match, Dawkins floors Loa with a leaping back elbow after a leapfrog spot. Ford tags in, and Dawkins suplexes him on top of Loa. Loa catches Ford with a clothesline. Tonga and Loa double team Ford. Gargano gets a blind tag and surprises Tonga with a slingshot spear. Ciampa and Gargano work over Tonga.
Fatu gets the tag and runs through Ciampa. The Bloodline takes turns working over Ciampa. After the break, everyone fights outside the ring. Ciampa superplexes Tonga off the top onto everyone at ringside. Ford hits a 450 splash on Tonga. Fatu breaks up the pin with a senton. Fatu lands a flurry of superkicks and a popup Samoan drop to Ciampa. Fatu turns Ford inside out with an implant DDT. Sikoa asks for the tag. Fatu tags in Sikoa. Sikoa Samoan Spikes Ford. Ford isn’t moving. Sikoa Samoan Spikes Ford again for good measure. Sikoa pins Ford.
