WWE CCO Paul Levesque (Triple H) has addressed the status of Chad Gable after he was attacked by the Wyatt Sicks.
As part of the Wyatt Sicks debut segment, Gable was left laid out, along with many unidentified bodies, with blood on his forehead.
Somehow, some fans equated this to Gable having been SHOT IN THE HEAD by the Wyatts, which obviously wasn’t the idea.
Triple H was on the Pat McAfee show today and addressed Gable’s status, saying:
“It escalated quickly from, ‘There’s Chad Gable laying down, he’s obviously unconscious, has a little bit of blood on him’, to, ‘Oh my God, he got shot in the head and he’s dead’. And there’s obituaries being put up on him, people wishing him well.
“Look, it’s one of the wonderful things about our fans, they just love to be engaged in the product and to, in their minds, fantasize where it can go and what it’s gonna be. It’s an awesome part of what we do.
“Every now and then, we’ve gotta pull back into reality a little bit, like, no, Chad Gable is still alive. Let me just clarify that for the record. Still alive, and if you come here tonight, you will probably see him actually competing. That’s the kind of stud he is.”
Gable is set for a three-way Money in the Bank qualifier on Raw tonight, against Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman.
WWE announced Ilja Dragunov was replacing Gable due to the Wyatt Sicks attack, but then went back on the announcement and put Gable back in.
