Here’s what Edge had to say after wrestling Sheamus in the final match of his WWE contract on this week’s edition of SmackDown.

Ahead of the August 18 show, it was reported that Edge’s previously announced match against Sheamus could be his last.
The Rated-R Superstar later confirmed that this was the last match on his WWE contract, noting that he’s unsure what the future holds for him.
In the maybe-retirement match, Edge ultimately defeated the Celtic Warrior, reversing a Brogue kick attempt into his signature spear for the victory.
After the cameras stopped rolling, the two wrestlers embraced, before Edge spoke to the Toronto crowd, emotionally thanking them after what could be his last ever match.

Edge said:
“I don’t know what the future holds. I really don’t. I gotta sit home this week, talk to my family and see what they want me to do.
“But what I can say Toronto is Thank You. Thank you for all of it.
“Thank you for being a city that I’ve always been proud to represent, that I’ve always been proud to be announced from.”
