In the main event segment of tonight’s WWE SmackDown, a top WWE star returned to prevent a beatdown on an unlikely ally.
When IYO SKY took on Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship in the main event of WWE SmackDown, her Damage CTRL posse was integral to her success.
With Bayley arguably saving the match, putting SKY’s foot on the rope out of view of the referee, Flair got distracted by seeking vengeance.
In the end, it was IYO SKY who was able to capitalize after being snuck the title belt by Dakota Kai which she was holding when Flair delivered a big spear.
SKY was able to pick up the pinfall victory after pushing the belt out of the ring and out of the referee’s view to retain her title by any means necessary.
However after the match when Damage CTRL continued a beatdown on Charlotte Flair, they were joined by a returning Bianca Belair.
Belair ran out and took shots at both Bayley and IYO SKY with the former ending up being caught in a KoD after having helped the champ escape the move herself.
After chasing off Damage CTRL, Bianca checked on Charlotte Flair and the show ended with the pair of Belair and Flair.
For those wondering, there was no sign of Jade Cargill on SmackDown tonight.'
