WWE star pokes fun at newly debuted NXT gimmick

In recent months, a mysterious attacker has been seen attacking women backstage on NXT shows, taking them out of action to recover from legitimate injuries.

Recently, Sol Ruca was attacked by the mystery assailant following her recently diagnosed ACL tear, and we got our first look at the attacker on last night’s NXT show.
The vignette showed footage of all the attacks as the perpetrator sat with their back to the camera inspecting the aftermath.

The segment reminded a lot of fans of Mustafa Ali’s ‘hacker’ gimmick from 2020, which was ultimately scrapped shortly after it’s debut.
Ali still remembers though, taking to Twitter to react to the segment, poking fun at the similarities between his character and the new one, simply responding in jest:

NXT star Dijak, who joined up with Mustafa Ali as a part of the infamous group ‘Retribution’ under the name T-Bar, also joked about wanting no part should this character go down the same route.
