WWE is still exploring options for international arms of the NXT brand with the European expansion reportedly coming soon.

In August 2022, it was announced that NXT UK would have a hiatus, and return in 2023 rebranded as NXT Europe.
Shawn Michaels had previously stated that the plan was at the “organizational stage” but he was hoping to “make that a reality by the end of 2023.”
Sean Ross Sapp would later report that there was the possibility of news about NXT Europe coming “late this summer in some capacity.”
As August comes to a close, we’re still eagerly waiting an update on NXT Europe and Dave Meltzer has provided some details.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed:
“I could see them opening the NXT Europe thing, which by the way, was supposed to have been opened early 2023.
“When they got rid of NXT UK, it was early 2023 they were gonna start (NXT) Europe.
“Now it’s not happening and it was not gonna happen until after the merger, although the merger’s only a couple of weeks away now, but I’ve heard now the target’s 2024.”

On August 4, a report emerged over the progress of NXT Europe plans, stating that WWE has plans in mind for talents and coaches to be involved with the brand.
Among the names being considered was British wrestling star and former NXT UK roster member Sha Samuels.
The former Alexander Wolfe spoke about plans for NXT Europe, with Axel Tischer saying that it would “rattle” the business.
