WWE NXT star Ilja Dragunov has expressed interest in wrestling on the NXT Europe brand once it finally launches.

After NXT UK went on an indefinite hiatus in 2022, it was announced that when it returns, it will be relaunched as NXT Europe.
Speaking with Fightful, Ilja Dragunov noted that he will take the opportunity to wrestle in Europe again, if the opportunity presents itself to him.

When asked if he’d be interested in being part of NXT Europe, Dragunov said:
“Absolutely. It is like a no brainer. When I have the opportunity to go back to Europe, 100%. I would be up for everything. It is my home. I love Europe.
“Of course, I enjoy my time in the States, as well, but nothing is like the true aura of Europe. You can’t get it out of there.”

Dragunov was a major name on the NXT UK brand, notably defeating GUNTHER for the NXT UK Title in August 2021.
He held the gold for 347 recognised days, before he was forced to relinquish the gold due to injury in August 2022.
Dragunov is slated to challenge for Carmelo Hayes’ NXT Title at NXT No Mercy.
