An update on the status of Seth Rollins for WWE WrestleMania 40 amid concern for his real-life injury sustained during a match.

While Seth Rollins finished his WWE Raw title defense against Jinder Mahal, concern arose from reports that the champ had been legitimately injured during the bout.
Future reports would go on to note that sources informed Rollins is suffering from a real-life injury that could impact his WrestleMania future.
Rollins is believed to have suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus, but it’s not yet known if he will require surgery, though the hope is that he can avoid it.
He’s likely to be out for a few weeks at the very least, but there’s a chance he could be back in time for WrestleMania if surgery isn’t required.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the plan for WrestleMania 40 still includes a match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk.
On WOR, Meltzer said that as of Friday (January 19) evening, Seth Rollins and CM Punk “are still scheduled for WrestleMania”
While he was informed that the current plan “could change” as “it’s up in the air”, for now at least Rollins vs. CM Punk is still the plan for WrestleMania.

While details have been sparse about the nature of the injury, WWE has officially addressed the existence of a concern with Seth Rollins.
In an advert for the next episode of WWE Raw (January 22) on Friday’s SmackDown, there was an announcement regarding Rollins’ next appearance.
Noting that Seth Rollins will open Monday Night Raw, he will ‘address his future as World Heavyweight Champion’.
Everyone at JJA Sport Studio continues to wish Seth Rollins all the best during his recovery from injury.
