WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has commented on his injury status, sharing his hopes for his in-ring return date.

Rollins hasn’t wrestled since the January 15 edition of Raw, when he defending his title against Jinder Mahal.
While Rollins has been recovering from a grade 2 tear of his MCL and a partially torn medial meniscus, the Visionary revealed at Saturday’s (February 24) Elimination Chamber event that he’s “just days away from being cleared“.
While WWE has now confirmed Rollins’ WrestleMania 40 title defence, Rollins has noted that he wants to make an in-ring return on a show before the April event.
Speaking with Love Wrestling before Elimination Chamber, Rollins noted that he prefers to star active, so is hopeful for a return ahead of WrestleMania 40.

When asked about the possibility of him making an in-ring comeback ahead of April 6-7, Rollins said:
“We’ll keep our fingers crossed, I think so. I don’t know that that decision entirely lies with me. We have a medical team that makes those final calls.
“But if it were up to me, I would be back in beforehand. I work best when I’m working.”

Rollins is slated to defend his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, with McIntyre winning the men’s Elimination Chamber match to earn this title shot.
