A surprise Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match has been announced for the upcoming WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
Making an appearance in a pre-taped video, both WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis made a big announcement.
During tonight’s March 11 Raw, the duo informed that at WrestleMania 40 there would be a ‘historic six-pack tag team ladder match’ featuring the titles on the line.
Later in another backstage segment featuring Judgment Day confronting the GMs regarding the origins of this match, Pearce and Aldis noted that the idea came from the Miz and R-Truth!
In that segment it was revealed that there will be three teams from WWE Raw and two teams from SmackDown plus the champs in the six-team ladder match.
No specific teams have been confirmed yet despite The Miz and R-Truth being mentioned.
