An update has been provided on Drew McIntyre’s status after his backstage incident at WWE Survivor Series 2023.

At WWE Survivor Series, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton defeated The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre to win the Men’s WarGames match.
Following the bout, McIntyre was visibly upset and stormed backstage before slamming the locker room door and leaving abruptly from the building.

In an update, Drew McIntyre is at tonight’s November 26 WWE live event in Peoria, Illinois, and he cut a promo referencing “things on the internet”, seemingly referencing reports about the incident at Survivor Series.
You can see a video of McIntyre’s promo below.

The backstage incident involving McIntyre follows recent reports that he still has not re-signed a new deal with WWE despite his current contract set to expire next April.
Following the Men’s WarGames match, CM Punk made his shocking return to WWE for the first time in nearly a decade to huge ovation from the Chicago crowd.
It’s unknown exactly what caused the situation with McIntyre being upset and angry, but as of the latest update, Fightful reported the reasoning was “broader than” it being because of Punk’s return.
