An update has emerged for Jon Moxley and his advertised appearance on the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Moxley has been announced for a segment on the Edmonton, Alberta show where we will hear from the Blackpool Combat Club member (as can be seen in the graphic below).
Dave Meltzer has addressed the plans for Moxley on Wrestling Observer Radio, confirming that he will not be appearing live, saying:
“No, he won’t (be appearing live at Dynamite). They did announce him for the show.
“Moxley is in Japan… Moxley is in the main event on shows Tuesday and Wednesday in Japan.
“It’s a 6:30 show in Japan, so he’s not gonna be able to get back.
“It’s a taped interview. I knew he was doing a taped interview.”
As previously reported, on the July 5 NJPW Strong Independence Day show, Moxley will go one-on-one with El Desperado in a Final Death match.
Moxley is set to appear on both days of the NJPW Strong’s event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, covering July 4 and 5, 2023.
His recent appearance on AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door saw his Death Jitsu hoodie censored for the pay-per-view broadcast.
We’ll hear from #BlackpoolCombatClub’s @JonMoxley THIS WEDNESDAY on #AEWDynamite!
