AEW World Champion MJF has addressed his big decision between AEW and WWE ahead of the anticipated ‘Bidding War of 2024.’

While it’s unclear exactly what MJF’s true AEW contract situation is right now, the 27-year-old has been touting January 1, 2024 as his contract expiry date for many years, teasing a battle for his signature between his existing employer and the WWE.
Since MJF turned babyface earlier this year we haven’t heard quite as much regarding his contract, however, in a post-show promo to the live crowd for this week’s edition of AEW Collision in Uncasville, CT , MJF did just that.
Speaking following his excellent AEW World Championship bout with Kenny Omega, MJF seemingly suggested his decision may be leaning towards an AEW stay, rather than a move elsewhere.

MJF said:
“I’ll be honest. I still don’t know what I’m gonna do for the bidding war of 2024.
“But what I do know. But what I do know is that when I get the opportunity to wrestle the best bout machine. Kenny Omega, it tends to sway my opinions a little bit.”

With AEW’s final pay-per-view of 2023 set to be the inaugural AEW Worlds End on December 30, just two days before MJF’s supposed contract expiry, many expect this all to play out into some kind of angle on AEW TV leading into that event.
Coupling with the fact that the PPV is also taking place in MJF’s hometown of Long Island, NY and the stage seems set for a dramatic end to the year for the soon to be longest reigning AEW World Champion.
