Here’s what happened when AEW star Willow Nightingale defended her TBS Championship at Saturday’s (May 18) World Wonder Ring Stardom event.
Nightingale was in action at the Stardom Flashing Champions event, defending her TBS Title against Tam Nakano.
The AEW star was ultimately victorious, defeating Nakano after 17 minutes of action.
Nightingale and Nakano shared a moment together following the match, with the two stars appearing to show each other respect.
You can watch a clip of this moment, as well as a video of Nightingale’s entrance, below.
During her post-match comments, Nightingale indicated that she and Nakano may have unfinished business.
This was Nightingale’s second match for Stardom and her first match for the promotion in Japan, following her debut at last month’s Stardom American Dream show.
Nightingale had previously wrestled for Japanese promotions NJPW, TJPW and DDT-Pro.
Willow Nightingale won the TBS Championship from Julia Hart at April’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. She’s set to defend her gold against former WWE star Mercedes Mone at Double or Nothing 2024 on May 26.
