AEW’s Anthony Bowens and MLB legend Jose Canseco have traded shots on social media over the subject of being a Scissor King.

All this comes ahead of Bowen’s competing in a celebrity home run derby on October 5, 2024.
The derby will see Bowens share the spotlight with the former New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics player.

Going Yard Baseball tweeted about the October 5 derby, asking:

They would offer four options – Canseco, Andruw Jones, Josh Reddick and Rafael Palmeiro.
Anthony Bowens would offer his own suggestion, along with footage of him hitting a baseball as proof, tweeting:

Canseco would have a question about the term “Scissor King” sharing his opinion on how it sounds in a tweet which read:

Many fans would provide their own input into what it means, accompanied by GIFs, images and videos.
Bowens was on hand to provide insight into what it means to be a Scissor King in tweet:

The tweet would be accompanied by a video of The Acclaimed (Bowens and Max Caster) celebrating their Scissor Me Daddy moment at AEW All In with Billy Gunn.
Unimpressed by this, Canseco would once again respond by dismissing Bowens’ credibility as an athlete, writing:

At the August 2023 PPV, The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn defeated House of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) to become AEW World Trios Champions.
