A change has seemingly been made to a match announced for this Saturday’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event.
It was originally announced that AEW World Tag Team Champions Big Bill and Ricky Starks would be defending their titles against the Golden Jets tag team of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega at Worlds End on December 30.
However, with Omega out due to Diverticulitis, Jericho needed to find a replacement tag team partner for a potential title match.
On this week’s Dynamite, that partner was seemingly revealed to be Sammy Guevara, who he saved from a 3 on 1 attack from the Don Callis Family, before they were attacked by Big Bill and Starks, with Sting and Darby Allin saving Jericho and Sammy.
This segment set up what was then announced as an eight-man tag team match, with Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Sting and Darby Allin taking on Big Bill, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher.
The match was made official, with a graphic displaying all eight men being shown on the show, but it seems as though a change has been made to the match.
Today on Twitter, AEW once again shared a graphic for the match, but this time with Konosuke Takeshita featured instead of Kyle Fletcher, seemingly confirming that he will be replacing Fletcher in the match on behalf of the Don Callis Family.
