Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka has now addressed a rumor that she has requested her release from the company.

The Japanese star’s most recent televised match saw her unsuccessfully challenge for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 39.
While Asuka has been competing at house shows since, she hasn’t wrestled on WWE TV since this title match.
Asuka has now reacted to a tweet stating that ‘multiple sources’ report that she has requested her release.

Appearing to shut this down, Asuka said:

Asuka previously fuelled speculation that she wanted to leave the company following her WrestleMania loss, tweeting that she might as well go back to Japan, but fans would miss her if she left.
Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was one of a handful of names who switched brands during the WWE Draft, which began on SmackDown.
Belair will wrestle for the Blue Brand after May 8, when the draft officially takes effect.
