An update has emerged on plans for Ronda Rousey as she plans to depart from WWE with a “hard out” date having been given.
At Money in the Bank, Shayna Baszler turned on Rousey setting up a feud between the pair.
It has been previously reported that Rousey was leaving WWE and had given a “hard out” date for her departure, believed to be shortly after SummerSlam.
As for her future plans, it appears that she isn’t going to be returning to UFC, despite rumors to the contrary.
UFC fighter Chelsea Chandler commented on Rousey’s plans at the UFC Media Day 77 on Wednesday, saying:
“I’ve been hearing Ronda is coming back. I’ve heard she’s coming back at 145. You never know.
“If I go out there and put on the performance, I plan on putting on, I’ll welcome her to 145. I think it would be a great fight.”
UFC commentator Jon Anik has also added fuel to the rumor mill by saying:
“If anyone is worthy of that type of opportunity, it’s probably Ronda Rousey.
“And I do believe she would be competitive because she would not enter that setting without the guarantee that she would be competitive. If ever there was a time, you’re right, it would be absolutely now.”
However, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who of course also has ties to pro-wrestling, reported the opposite, tweeting:
Ronda Rousey is not considering a UFC comeback, I’m told.
