A new report has provided an update on Becky Lynch’s status ahead of WWE SummerSlam.
On the July 31 edition of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch had her long awaited rematch against Trish Stratus go to a disqualification due to interference from Zoey Stark. Following the match, Adam Pearce announced Becky and Trish would meet again on the August 14 episode.
This came as a surprise to many fans as Lynch has been planned to face Stratus at SummerSlam for the past few months.
With the bout now pulled from this Saturday’s show, there has been questions regarding whether either star would even be in Detroit for the event.
Per PWInsider, Becky Lynch is currently in the Motor City ahead of the SummerSlam 2023 show. It hasn’t been confirmed whether Trish Stratus is in town as of yet.
If both women are in Detroit, there is always the chance that WWE could run a surprise angle between the two on the show.
Several reports have indicated the match was removed from SummerSlam due to the show’s time constraints.
