Shayna Baszler has addressed speculation about Ronda Rousey potentially leaving WWE following their match at WWE SummerSlam 2023.

Rousey and Baszler will face off against one another in an MMA Rules match on Saturday’s show.
This comes after Shayna Baszler turning on her friend at Money in the Bank, causing them to lose their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It has been heavily speculated that Ronda Rousey is set to step away from the ring following the bout after previous reports that Rousey has a ‘hard out’ date with WWE.
Speaking with Inside The Ropes, Shayna Baszler indicated that she expects to see Rousey again after August 5.

Baszler said:
“I mean if I have anything to say about it on Saturday, Ronda is going to leave and she will need help getting out of there.
“But if I know anything about Ronda, and I know Ronda better than anyone, it’s not the last that we will see of her.
“Whether it’s next week or next year, it is not the last that we will see of her. We’ll see what happens.

It was reported on Friday (August 4) that WWE hadn’t settled on what exactly an MMA Rules match was, so it’s unclear what this SummerSlam match will look like.
The MMA Rules match won’t be the only stipulation bout at the event, with Jey Uso to challenge for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship and the title of Tribal Chief in a Tribal Combat match.
