Former WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt has been off television since early March.

Wyatt had recently begun a feud with Bobby Lashley heading into WrestleMania 39 before he was mysteriously pulled from television, with the match between he and Lashley at WrestleMania being cancelled.
Wyatt’s absence was later revealed to be health related, with it not being known when he would be ready to return to the ring due to an illness.

In the latest update from Fightful Select, Bray is reportedly getting ‘closer’ to clearance for an in-ring return after almost six months away.
Wyatt has been battling an undisclosed illness, and Bray and the company are said to have been taking extra precautions to ensure that his long-term health is accounted for.

In a positive update on his status, Fightful has confirmed that, while he is still not actively cleared, those that they spoke to have claimed he is getting closer, even to the point where some creative ideas have been presented for him.
One source noted that some of the pitches being made were even being mentioned as soon as September, but that will obviously all revolve around whether or not he gets clearance for a return.
There was initially plans for Wyatt to form a ‘new Wyatt Family’ with Uncle Howdy, Alexa Bliss and Eric Young, which obviously fell through due to Wyatt’s illness, Alexa going on maternity leave and Eric Young requesting and being granted his release from the company.
