A WWE star has commented on his future, noting that his goal is to continue performing rather than transition into a backstage role.

While the DIY reunion has just gotten underway on WWE Raw, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano each seemed to face somewhat uncertain futures creatively as of late.
However, it didn’t destroy Ciampa’s resolve to continue performing and now he has shared more about what keeps him motivated to perform rather than work in a backstage capacity.
Appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Tommaso Ciampa rebuffed the idea that he would be interested in a coaching or producing role in NXT at this point in his career.

Ciampa said:
“Performance-wise I don’t think so.
“I think there’s a door that’s very open for guys like myself and Johnny because of loyalty because of the way we handle ourselves outside of the ring, professionalism and stuff that like there’s a spot producing coaching something.
“Yeah, I’m just not done performing. Like, physically. I know, my body sometimes just tells me like, hey, stop.

“But really, mentally, I’m not anywhere close. So like that wouldn’t.
“Before I would do something like that. The option would be well, no, it’s the Ring of Honor option.
“It’s the ‘I think I can do this thing that’s really special. I’m gonna go do it.’ Yeah, like, ‘Please give me the opportunity to do it here. But if not, I’m still gonna go do it’.”

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano remain on WWE Raw alongside both Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, the latter of whom has a big match coming up on this week’s Raw.
Before Becky Lynch can get to NXT Halloween Havoc, she is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Hartwell on Monday Night Raw.
