A new report has detailed WWE’s current stance on talent contract renewals now that the TKO merger is complete, with many top stars with deals reportedly set to expire in 2024.

With the expiring contracts of stars such as Drew McIntyre and Sheamus among others being well documented in recent months, many have questioned WWE’s lack of activity in getting their talents locked down to new deals.
Now, according to a new report from Fightful Select we have a better insight into WWE’s current approach, as well as the view from the talent that have deals coming up as well.
According to the report WWE have “a ton of contracts” expiring all throughout 2024, including “several top stars” who have not yet been approached over extensions.
Many of the stars up for renewal signed deals back in 2019, however, there are also those who signed shorter term deals also up for new talks with the company.

As for why WWE are choosing to leave things so late, it’s of the opinion of the talent who spoke to Fightful that the long wait for the Endeavor deal to be completed may have impacted negotiations.
However, now that the TKO merger is now complete, those talent believe that contract talks will be kickstarted.
Although as of now, that has not yet happened, with the only negotiations reportedly taking place between talent and WWE is with those that have approached the company about receiving a raise.

The uncertainty for talent continues into what kind of deals will in fact be offered when WWE do come to the negotiation table, with no indication whether terms will be increased, decreased or on par with what was being offered prior to the merger.
