WWE legend John Cena has seemingly continued to tease his impending retirement from in-ring competition on social media.

Following his decisive loss to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, it seems as if John Cena is once again suggesting the end could be near for his in-ring career.
Posting to his notoriously cryptic Instagram account, Cena uploaded a picture of Baseball icon Babe Ruth (see below), specifically the former New York Yankees player’s final public appearance at Yankee Stadium on June 13, 1948.

This is the second time Cena has uploaded a picture of a sports legend to his Instagram after the loss to Sikoa.
Just minutes after that match, Cena uploaded a picture of David Beckham playing his final match on May 18, 2013 for Paris St Germain.

Both posts are likely only to further speculation regarding Cena’s in-ring future before an eventual big return in the future.
Cena has been back on WWE TV since late August, in what has been his most consistent run on WWE TV in many years, something that the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike action is wholly responsible for.
Although negotiations are still ongoing for the strikes, Cena is expected to now be returning to his Hollywood duties, with no clear indication of when he will be back inside a WWE ring again.

Despite that, there has been speculation that one of Cena’s posts could be hinting towards when we could potentially expect to see the 16-time world champion back in the company.
