A big planned WWE return seems to have been scrapped, for the time being at least, following tonight’s November 10 SmackDown.

After a return angle was seemingly leaked earlier, it ended up being scrapped for tonight at least.
The return of AJ Styles was seemingly spoiled by WWE themselves after he was listed on WWE’s “Events” page where you can buy tickets, which had him listed for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
Coupled with previous reports from PWInsider recently that Styles’ return was planned for tonight’s show, it seemed the return was likely.
However, SmackDown came and went with no comeback from AJ Styles.

Now in a new update from PWInsider, their sources suggest the return was indeed originally planned for tonight but has been pushed back.
AJ Styles last appeared on WWE TV in September when he was attacked by the Bloodline.
Next week on SmackDown, Jimmy Uso faces LA Knight, and Solo Sikoa is announced for a return as well, so if Styles is going to be involved with the Bloodline, it would make sense if that’s when he returns.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, more developments for WWE Survivor Series 2023 in Chicago.
