Booker T wants to see a new championship added to the WWE NXT options, with this one being a secondary women’s title.
At present, NXT boasts the NXT Championship, Tag Team Championship, North American Championship, and Heritage Cup Championship for the men’s roster.
On the women’s roster, NXT stars can only fight for the NXT Women’s Championship since the Women’s Tag Team Championship was unified with the main roster Women’s Tag Team Championship a few months back.
On a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed adding another title to the NXT women’s roster, saying:
“Yeah, man. I feel like it’s time to. I feel like it’s time for NXT to get another title just to give everybody a piece of the action, a shot at the apple, excuse me, a bite at the apple.
“But I would love to see that for the ladies because right now, the ladies are killing it, as well as in NXT.
“A lot of the ladies have left NXT and they’re moving to the main roster.”
The NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship was last held by Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn with the unification taking place in June 2023.
Lyra Valkyria is the current NXT Women’s Champion having defeated Becky Lynch at Halloween Havoc Night 1 in October 2023.
Valkyria retained against Xia Li on this week’s NXT.
