An update on the potential WWE Roman Reigns vs The Rock rivalry, with a new report shooting down some rumors about the possible match.

While a Rock vs Reigns match has reportedly been in the works for years, there has been a lot more speculation about this potential match after The Rock teased wanting to sit at the head of the table at WWE Raw Day 1.
While some have speculated that The Rock will return to the ring at WrestleMania 40, there have also been rumors swirling about the match happening at Elimination Chamber 2024, which will take place in Perth, Australia.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock and Roman Reigns aren’t slated to face off at Elimination Chamber.

Noting that Roman Reigns is not set to be at the February 24 event, Meltzer wrote:
Regarding the Reigns vs. Rock match, while I presume it’s WrestleMania (and could possibly be a three-way with Rhodes but I don’t think that will come out until many weeks from now), what we did have confirmed is the Australia rumors aren’t accurate.
Reigns is not even scheduled for the show. He’s never been advertised and there are no plans for him for that date right now.

There are numerous stars who could realistically headline WrestleMania 40 in April, with The Rock wanting the head of the table, CM Punk returning to WWE in November, and Cody Rhodes wanting to finish his story and win the WWE Undisputed Universal Title.
