Former WWE star Marty Jannetty says he’s been going through an extremely difficult time with news that he may require surgery and the death of his sister.

Jannetty, a former WWE (WWF) Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champion (with the 1-2-3 Kid (better known as X Pac)) made the revelation in an emotional post on social media.
On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Jannetty posted the following message on Facebook:

“I can’t hardly formulate a sentence right now, it’s a tough time in life, yesterday day they told me they want to cut my leg off.. struggling with that my brother called last night and, my sister died in his arms basically.
“I don’t even know what I’m saying right now. I don’t think I’m doing the podcast show tomorrow night, please forgive me, I do loves y’all..I just can’t.
“I’m so lost right now.
“PS- Many of y’all know both my sisters, Diane is still hanging in tough as a mo-fo, Diane STAY STAY STRONG, KEEP BELIEF, YOU TOO GENO!”

Jannetty has been battling issues with his ankle and leg for many years.
A follow-up post on the Facebook page would provide an update, reading:
“Marty is fine, he is resting. Please allow him time to rest and grieve.
“Thank you for caring about him so much. Goodnight.”

During a career that spanned more than thirty years, Jannetty saw multiple runs in the WWF starting in 1988.
Teamed with Shawn Michaels in American Wrestling Association, The Midnight Rockers would go on to drop ‘Midnight’ from their name when they debuted in WWE.
The pair never officially held tag team gold in the WWF and would eventually split in January 1992 with Michaels putting Jannetty through Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake’s ‘The Barber Shop’ window.Footage from that moment on WWF Wrestling Challenge can be seen below this news story.
We sends our support to Jannetty during this difficult time.
