An update has emerged on the competitors in action in a match at NXT Vengeance Day 2024, with safety concerns raised following scary spots.

In the first match of the show, Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
Disaster almost struck during the bout, with Breakker’s head and neck sliding under the top rope, causing the rope to ping back.
With other spots also causing fans to question the tightness of the ropes, an update has now emerged on Breakker, Hayes, Williams and Corbin following the match.

Per Fightful Select, all involved in the match came out of it a “little banged up.”
Williams was also in action in the main event of the show, unsuccessfully challenging for Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship.

Carmelo Hayes turned heel in the closing moments of the show, attacking Williams following his main event loss.
Several WWE stars, including a current SmackDown star, have now reacted to Hayes betraying his friend.
