A former champion has been out of action due to an injury ahead of WrestleMania 40, with the WWE star missing a notable match recently.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven hasn’t wrestled since the February 5 Main Event taping, during which she and Chelsea Green losing to Natalya and Tegan Nox.
With Chelsea Green appearing in the Elimination Chamber qualifying Last Chance Battle Royal without Niven on the February 19 edition of Raw, rumors have been swirling about Niven’s absence.
Per Fightful Select, Piper Niven has been sidelined with a hand injury. Per the report, it was internally feared that she had a broken hand initially.

Timelines for her recovery and return weren’t specified in the report.
Niven and Green have an interesting history as a team. While Green and Sonya Deville initially won the Women’s Tag Team Championship in July 2023, Deville suffered an ACL injury and was replaced by Niven so that Green wouldn’t have to relinquish the title.

The duo dropped the gold to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in December, who lost the gold to the current champions Asuka and Kairi Sane in January.
We wish Piper Niven a safe and healthy recovery.
