WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura is in the running to become the vice presidential candidate for a notable US presidential candidate.

As confirmed by NBC News, independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr is considering a shortlist of candidates for his running mate.
This list includes wrestling veteran Jesse Ventura, as well as New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
This partner would become Vice President if Kennedy becomes US President.

A spokesperson for the Kennedy Campaign noted the following to NBC News:
“He’s considering Aaron Rodgers and Jesse Ventura as running mates along with others on a shortlist. No other details available.”

According to NBC News, a source familiar with the situation stated that Kennedy has offered the vice presidential candidate slot to an individual, and the individual has accepted the offer.
Robert F Kennedy Jr, the nephew of former president John F Kennedy, previously announced on Twitter that he’ll confirm his running mate on March 26.
Ventura entered politics in 1991, notably elected as the mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He held this position until 1995, before becoming a Reform Party candidate in 1998, during his time as Minnesota governor.

The Hall of Famer teased his own presidential bid during an interview on Talk is Jericho in 2022, describing the current system as a ‘two-party dictatorship’.
Ahead of the 2020 election, Ventura expressed interest in running for President of the United States as a member of the Green Party. Ventura ultimately didn’t run for health reasons.
We will continue to provide update on the situation as they become available.
