The reasons for an onscreen angle on the August 5 episode of WWE Raw featuring Seth Rollins have now been revealed.
Bronson Reed made his presence felt on WWE Raw, landing six consecutive Tsunamis on Seth Rollins.
Footage from the attack can be seen below this news story, with WWE having also shared unseen video footage of Pat McAfee and Michael Cole’s reaction at the commentary table.
Dave Meltzer has now revealed the reason for the attack on Wrestling Observer Radio, as well as providing an update on fellow Raw star Dakota Kai – who was also pulled from her match on Raw with Sonya Deville following a backstage attack angle.
Meltzer said:
“Remember on Monday we were talking about Seth and Dakota? It was done for injury reasons… I don’t know how serious.
“I asked if they were storyline covers for injuries and I was told they both were, but Seth is not a bad situation. Seth is cleared, he could wrestle but he’s banged up. So it was a good time for him to take time off.
“I don’t know if he’ll be back for the pay-per-view against Bronson Reed.”
The next WWE PLE is Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024 which only has one match announced at the time of writing.
On the August 5 episode of WWE Raw, Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship opponent was revealed as SmackDown’s Randy Orton.
