This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with the newly crowned TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné, coming to the ring for a championship celebration.
Mercedes Moné asks the crowd if she was worth the wait and once again reminds everyone that Moné changes everything. Moné puts over her Double or Nothing opponent Willow Nightingale, but says that she’s way too nice and she could have told her that Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway were going to turn on her. Moné says she hopes that when she gets back, she kicks Statlander and Hathaway’s ass.
Mercedes Moné says she knows she has a target on her back as TBS Champion and Skye Blue appears on the Tron and reveals that she was the one who attacked Moné backstage several weeks ago. Skye Blue shows up and attacks Moné from behind and lays her out.
