WWE star Joe Gacy has now provided an update on his status following a legitimate injury scare on this week’s edition of NXT.

Gacy faced off against NXT North American Champion Oba Femi on Tuesday’s (April 2) show. This match was stopped after the referee used the ‘X’ hand motion, indicating that there were genuine injury concerns.
Fightful’s Corey Brennan later reported that legitimate concussion protocol was used, but noted that Gacy was believed to be okay after early examinations.
Gacy has now taken to Twitter to comment on the injury scare, noting that he’s a little sore but fine.

Indicating that his NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff match will still take place, Gacy wrote:

When a commenter stated that they had theorised it was a work/planned spot, Gacy replied:
To be fair it was a legitimate injury scare
Gacy is slated to face off against Shawn Spears during Saturday’s NXT Stand & Deliver pre-show.
