Details have emerged regarding what happened backstage between CM Punk and Seth Rollins after WWE Survivor Series.
The show ended with the return of CM Punk after Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton had won the men’s WarGames match.
As Punk appeared on the stage, video footage emerged of an irate Rollins screaming at Punk from ringside, but it was unknown if that was his legitimate reaction or part of a planned storyline.
According to Fightful Select, things between Rollins and Punk continued backstage.
Rollins reportedly had to be “ushered away” by Triple H and Michael Cole as he was “looking for” Punk.
CM Punk was said to have looked “confused”, and it all made for an “awkward scene”.
It’s still possible it’s a “work” as there isn’t confirmation that it is or isn’t, but that’s what happened backstage after the show had concluded.
On a related note, Drew McIntyre, who had reportedly “stormed out angry” after the main event and left the show, told people close to him that it was related to Punk’s return.
