Some big news coming out of last night’s AEW tapings as one of the promotion’s most heavily pushed stars is reportedly on their way out of the company.

And not only are they heading out of AEW, but they’re expected to be joining WWE.
On the September 9 episode of Collision, Jade Cargill returned to AEW in her first appearance since May’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view where she dropped the TBS Championship to Kris Statlander.
On Collision, Cargill set up a rematch with Statlander for the title, which has actually already taken place.
The match was taped after last night’s September 13 Dynamite taping and will air on Friday’s September 15 episode of Rampage.

Statlander retained the title clean in that Rampage rematch, meaning she’s still the only person to beat Cargill in AEW, and she’s now done so twice.
And it seems like the record may be staying like that, because the Rampage rematch looks to have been Cargill’s last match altogether in AEW.
Fightful Select reports that Jade Cargill is “likely” finished with AEW at this point, hence why the decision was for Statlander to beat her clean.

Fightful’s sources in both AEW and WWE are of the belief that Cargill will be joining WWE.
At this point, nothing’s official, there’s no confirmation that a formal offer has been made, nor is there confirmation on when Cargill’s AEW contract actually ends.
However, the belief is very much that Cargill was brought back to AEW to set up a rematch with Statlander in which she could put Statlander over on her way out before heading to WWE.

Cargill had a WWE tryout in 2019 but said she chose AEW over WWE.
Just a week ago, Cargill said there was no other place she wanted to be but AEW.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
