Dominik Mysterio claims a WWE Hall of Famer helped get him to where he is as a wrestler.

Through his feud with his father Rey Mysterio and association with The Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio has become the most despised competitor in WWE today.
Long before he was a featured act on WWE TV, Dom appeared in the company back in 2005 during a feud between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero that was over custody of Dominik.

Eddie was determined to prove that he was Dominik’s father and fought Rey in a ladder match at SummerSlam 2005 with the custody of then-eight year old Dom on the line. Rey won the bout, but in recent months, Dominik has made reference to the storyline and said he wished Eddie was his father.
Speaking with Chente Ydrach, Dominik reflected on his role in the memorable rivalry and joked his “real father” Eddie Guerrero helped him get to where he is today. He said:

“Seeing it now as an adult, it’s incredible to be in that position as a child. I was told that I was gonna get paid, I did not have to go to school or do homework during the feud, which was the best for me so I was ready.”
“I told my dad that I was ready and to just let me know when, but it did scare me a bit because I was very shy and did not like to be in front of cameras & crowd.”
“It was because of Eddie Guerrero, MY REAL FATHER EDDIE GUERRERO, that I am where I am and he planted the seeds to be a wrestler.”

As previously reported, Dominik Mysterio revealed the WWE stars he believes wouldn’t survive in prison like he did.
