A legendary former WWE star has sadly passed away at the age of 84.

General Adnan, real name Adnan bin Abdul Kareem Ahmed Alkaissy El Farthie, may be best remembered by WWE fans back when the company was still known as the WWF.
General Adnan was not only a manager for Sgt Slaughter in the WWF, his history in professional wrestling went back much further than his 1990 managerial debut.

With roots as far back as the 1960s wrestling in America, he had immigrated from Iraq after receiving a football scholarship from the University of Houston.
Holding the WWWF World Tag Team Championship with Chief Jay Strongbow in 1976, Adnan went on to be a trailblazer in both the AWA and NJPW before coming back to the WWF.

He would become the first Iraqi born star to compete in a WWF ring at SummerSlam in 1991.
We send our thoughts and condolences to Adnan bin Abdul Kareem Ahmed Alkaissy El Farthie’s family, friends, and everyone affected by his passing.
