A WWE star competed in their first televised match since September at last night’s (December 4) WWE Raw tapings.

At last night’s WWE Raw show, various NXT talents were brought to the show to work matches for the Main Event tapings, which will air on Thursday.
The matches for this week’s show featured Gigi Dolin taking on Elektra Lopez, and Javier Bernal taking on Apollo Crews.

The match on Main Event will mark the first match for Bernal to be broadcast in almost three months, with his last televised match taking place on the September 26 NXT Level Up tapings, where he teamed with Luca Crusifino to defeat Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont.
Bernal has been working regularly on NXT Live Events, most recently on December 1 in a defeat to Dante Chen.

NXT talents wrestling matches on Main Event is not always an indication of an imminent call-up, but rather simply serving as a chance for NXT talent to get experience working in front of a main roster crowd.
Former NXT Tag Team Champions the Creed Brothers were the most recent NXT names to be called up to the main roster, and are already set for an upcoming title clash with the Judgment Day.
Another NXT star is set to be a part of the upcoming tournament on SmackDown to crown a new contender for the United States Championship.
