Gunther’s reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion is close to hitting 600 days and he’s just reached a new milestone.

Having held the championship since June 10, 2022, Gunther continues to be the longest-reigning holder of the championship in a single run.
As noted by WWE Stats on Twitter, he has reached a milestone not seen since Mr Perfect’s reign of the 90s.

In their tweet on the subject, WWE Stats revealed that:

On the January 29 episode of WWE Raw, Gunther defeated Kofi Kingston with highlights from the match below this news story.
Kingston has been a four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and held the championship for a combined 272 days.
With Gunther having held the championship for 598 days in a single run, he is closing on Pedro Morales combined 617 days across his two reigns.
