The real reason that Kairi Sane chose to return to WWE instead of signing a new deal with STARDOM has been revealed.

Sane made her return to WWE at Crown Jewel in November 2023, after months of speculation that she would be back with the company.
Dave Meltzer provided insight into Sane’s reason for returning in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

According to Meltzer, Sane’s decision was due to her loyalty to Rossy Ogawa, who was recently terminated from his role by Bushiroad, owner of STARDOM.
This was a part of the reason that Kairi did not sign a deal with Stardom and returned to WWE a few months back.
She is close with Ogawa and knew he wouldn’t be part of Stardom going forward.
It’s also the reason Giulia didn’t sign a new deal with Stardom, and while agreeing to go to WWE, asked to delay her start.
Giulia had agreed from the start to help Ogawa start his new promotion long before WWE started pursuing her harder, and kept her word in that she will be there the first few months to use her star power to help kick it off before starting with WWE.

Per the previous report, following his termination on February 4, 2024, Ogawa has announced that he will be starting a new wrestling promotion.
Giulia has delayed her starting date with WWE in order to help Ogawa’s new venture through its launch period.
Sane is currently part of Damage CTRL along with Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai and fellow WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka.

Recent events have seen Bayley at odds with her Damage CTRL teammates, leading to the Royal Rumble winner challenging IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Footage from the February 7 episode of WWE SmackDown in which Bayley confronted Damage CTRL can be seen below this news story.
